Canadian Army's Reputation from WWI
The Canadians had proven a fearsome force in the First World War.
When the Canadians arrived in England, their fine reputation from
the First World War had preceded them. They still looked smart on
the parade square. Time magazine described them as a dagger pointed
at the heart of Berlin. To experienced military men however, it was
quickly apparent that the Canadian Army was badly trained and poorly led.
