The Brummbar - is another example for which the Panzer IV chassis could be used. It was an assault infantry gun, developed after the battle of Stalingrad for street fighting, with a short-barrelled 15 cm (5.91 in) howitzer in ball mounting on the front plate. |

Mobelwagen (Furniture Van) - was the name given by crews to a special tank. It was Panzer IV chassis adapted for air defence. The odd name was because of the slab sided appearance of the vehicle. The four upward folding slabs opened horizontally to form a combat platform. |
The Mobelwagen was developed to counter growing Allied air superiority. 240 of the Mobelwagens were produced between March 1944 and March 1945. |

Strumoser Tiger - also known as the Sturmtiger was one of the oddest armoured vehicles of WW II. Developed after the battle of Stalingrad, in which the German army suffered heavy losses trying to capture heavily defended buildings. The Sturmtiger was an unmodified Tiger chassis with the front cut away to to allow a thickly armoured superstructure. Mounted in the front plate was a RW61 38 cm (14.97 in) breech loaded mortar. This launched short range high explosive rocket projectile that could demolish almost any building with a single round. |
The projectiles weighed 345 kg (760 lb) each. They were so large that only 14 could be carried in racks inside the structure. A crane on the back was used to load projectiles into into the fighting compartment. Only 18 (app.) conversion were made. And by then the need for such a vehicle was past. |
